I know Jenny a bit. We've corresponded back and forth for about two years now. I have found her to be a woman of generous spirit and easy humor. I look forward to meeting her faci tu faci at some point in the future to lift of pint of bitters. She'd be pleased I think that I hand this book, her book, on to you. After what has been a 20-year friendship, you strike me as much like Russo and our friendship much like Jim and Rick's was. It is my hope that it can be like Jenny and Rick's into the future.

To this day Jenny and "Grace" continue a strong and very much intact relationship parenting their two boys. As will be clear within these pages, it wasn't easy. It's still not, but Grace and Jenny both are convinced that they're better together than apart . . .

As I read this book, and as I've come to know a bit more of the back story of Jenny and Grace's life together, I cried more than a few tears when I consider how much I wished it was our fate as well, Ellen and I.

I adore her still, I expect I always will.
